Thessaloniki City Tour: A Mosaic of Cultures
Thessaloniki is not just a city; it is a living museum where Roman, Byzantine, Ottoman, and Jewish history coexist harmoniously. In this panoramic tour, Mercedes Taxi Club offers you the opportunity to see the most important landmarks of the «Nymph of the Thermaic Gulf» with comfort and style.
Our route starts from above, at the Castles (Eptapyrgio/Ano Poli), to enjoy the breathtaking view of the entire city. Descending, we pass the picturesque Koule Kafe and encounter monuments of Ottoman heritage, such as the Aladja Imaret and Yeni Hamam. A landmark stop is the Church of Saint Demetrius, the city’s patron saint, followed by the Roman Forum, the imposing Rotunda, and the Arch of Galerius (Kamara).
In the heart of the commercial center, we will see the historic Bezesteni market and Hamza Bey (Alkazar), before heading towards the port. There, we will pay tribute at the moving Holocaust Memorial, a reminder of the city’s rich Jewish history. The route culminates at the waterfront with the symbol of Thessaloniki, the White Tower.
Depending on your preference, the tour can conclude with a visit to one of the country’s top museums: the Archaeological Museum or the Museum of Byzantine Culture. Enjoy the city without the hassle of walking or public transport, with the privacy and luxury we provide.
